Jon Shumway is the layman leader of New Earth Fellowship.He has served as a youth Sabbath school teacher, an assistant Sabbath school superintendent  and deacon.  He was ordained as a head elder of the Reedley Seventh-day Adventist Church in 1987. He has now laid aside all other church offices to focus his attention on establishing a gospel ministry in his home mountain community.
